Everyone at The Mead Community Primary School would like to extend you a very warm welcome. This is truly a very special place. Our school has been graded as outstanding by Ofsted in each of our last three full inspections and our Early Years setting is a model of best practice used in the training of Ofsted Inspectors. We were named as a National Support School in 2007 and then designated as one of the first 36 Primary Teaching Schools in the country in 2011. We are currently a lead school nationally for English, The Arts, Early Years, Outdoor play and learning, SEND and Research and Development.
Our children are delightful. They are happy, polite and enthusiastic learners who create an amazingly warm and purposeful atmosphere and apply great effort to their learning. We have an exceptional teaching team and wonderful support staff who work tirelessly to continue to improve and ensure that children’s experiences are the very best that can be provided. My vision about education is a simple one: Children deserve the very best opportunities at school to enable them to feel happy and safe, and to be inspired and excited to work hard towards achieving their dreams. It is my core purpose to inspire our staff to light a ‘learning spark’ in our children, and then provide every possible opportunity to nurture that spark to grow and develop into a strong and long-lasting flame. Our parents, staff and governors are all passionate about enabling children to dream, strive, achieve and celebrate and I really can’t imagine a better place to learn, to teach, or to lead.
